A Record-Setting Momentum

Hardin County continues to see significant economic contributions from its tourism sector. Data released in June 2026 confirms that the county generated $376.7 million in total visitor spending during 2025, a notable increase from the $370.7 million recorded in 2024.

Supporting Local Jobs

This surge in tourism activity supported 2,647 jobs within the county and contributed $30.1 million in combined state and local tax revenue. Officials credit the success to the collaborative efforts of tourism partners in Elizabethtown and the Radcliff/Fort Knox area.

Strategic Importance

"Radcliff and Fort Knox continue to be a major part of Hardin County’s tourism story," said Kelly Barron, executive director of Radcliff/Ft. Knox Tourism. The continued growth highlights Hardin County's role as a major tourism destination in the Commonwealth, balancing its industrial base with a robust and active visitor economy.
